Why CourtSauce exists

Most racquet sports apps treat scoring as an afterthought. They were built for fitness tracking, ladder ranking, or social bragging — and the actual job of keeping score on court was bolted on later.

CourtSauce starts from the opposite end. The score is the centrepiece. Apple Watch is the primary surface, because that's where your hand already is. Voice notes capture the moments that matter without making you stop. Match history and stats are there when you want them, and invisible when you don't.

CourtSauce is built by people who play these sports — pickleball, squash, tennis — and got tired of the alternatives.

Watch-first scoring

Most scoring apps assume you'll stop play to record the point on your phone. CourtSauce assumes you won't.

Your Apple Watch is the primary scoring surface. One tap adds a point for the server. The crown undoes mistakes. A glance shows the score, who's serving, and which side. Your phone stays in your bag.

The phone app handles match setup, history, voice notes, and detailed statistics review afterward. But during the point itself, it's just you, the paddle, and the watch on your wrist.

Why CourtSauce

We've played the games, dealt with the scorekeeping headaches, tournament issues, league confusion, and built the apps we wished existed.

Built for how you actually play

Most apps were designed for fitness logging, social ranking, or tournament administration. Scoring was a feature added later. CourtSauce inverts this — scoring is the heart of every app, with everything else designed to support it. The result is an app that disappears when you're playing and surfaces useful information when you're not.

Watch-first, phone-supported

Your Apple Watch handles every action you need during play. Your iPhone handles everything else: setting up matches, reviewing history, voice notes, statistics, and match sharing. The two devices work together but each does what it's best at.

Privacy as default, not afterthought

Your match data lives on your devices, synced through your personal iCloud account. We don't store your data on our servers. We don't require accounts. We don't have analytics that track your behaviour. The only data we ever see is when you explicitly share a match — and even then, just the match, not your identity.

A note on privacy

We've watched the racquet sports app space fill up with apps that collect everything they can — your matches, your habits, your training patterns, your friends, your locations. Some sell that data. Others "just" use it for advertising. We chose a different path.

CourtSauce stores your match data on your device by default, with optional iCloud sync that uses your personal Apple ID. We don't have servers that store your matches. We don't require accounts. We don't track you. There's no advertising in our apps, ever.

For tournament directors and clubs

CourtSauce isn't only for individual players. CourtSauce Tournaments will run your event from setup through results — single-elimination, double-elimination, round-robin, pool play, and consolation brackets. CourtSauce Leagues will manage your club's seasonal play, with captain tools, standings, schedules, and direct integration with the CourtSauce sport apps your players already use.

Both are mobile-optimised web platforms — no app install required for participants, accessible from any device.

If you run pickleball tournaments, manage a racquet club, or coordinate league play, we'd love to talk. Tournaments and Leagues launch after the sport apps are stable.
